The 10th Annual Omar Sharif Poker and Backgammon Event

The 10th yearly Omar Sharif Poker and Backgammon Tournament takes place on May 16th, 2010, Saturday, on Conduit Street, London from 5:00 p.m. The main beneficiary of the tournament is the One to One children's charity.

This year, Full Tilt Poker is sponsoring the tournament which celebrity bounties in Jennifer Tilly, Duncan Bannatyne, Neve Campbell, Hardeep Singh and Colin Murray among others.

It is also adding a lot of value in the form of slots to the WSOP (World Series of Poker) online satellites, gifts and chip sets for all participants.

The no-limit hold'em tournament sees 100 pounds of the 365 pounds entry go into the cash pool with a ninety minute rebuy period with rebuys+ add-on at 100 pounds, of which 50 pounds goes to the cash pool and 50 pounds to the charity.

There will also be numerous side games that players can enjoy after the rebuy period. Last year, the tournament was won by Beverly Pace and raised a total of 100,000 pounds for One to One.

There will be a fund raising auction on the night with Formula 1 and World Cup tickets up for grabs as well as Stella McCartney couture, a golf holiday and many more. Tickets for this event cost 365 euros and include tournament entry and food and drinks on the night.

Tickets for non-participants are also available for one hundred pounds. Places at the tournament are limited and it is advisable to bought tickets in advance.
