PartyGaming Finalizes Agreement With Channel 5 Broadcasting

On June 8th, 2009, as a well-known gaming operator, PartyGaming has had a difficult past year or so. After losing seventy-five percent of their market when they unwillingly leave from the US gaming market (after the approval of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act on October 13th, 2006), the organization was looking to make a name for themselves in other gaming markets and beyond the widely known PartyPoker brand.

Currently, PartyGaming features sites to online casino games, wagers and bingo as well as skill games like backgammon and is considered to be the world's leading listed online gaming organization. The organization has now reached a new agreement with Channel 5 Broadcasting to make a new online bingo and casino gaming product. The new eGaming offering will be branded and marketed by Channel 5 and managed by PartyGaming.

The product's launch is expected to be in the 2nd half of the year. Chief Executive Officer of PartyGaming, Jim Ryan said that this agreement is a good opportunity to expand their gaming portfolio which already offers casino games and backgammon through Channel 5's more than thirty million viewers and that PartyGaming will be looking to finalize more B2B agreements in the near future.

It also marks an important step for Five in their goal to construct their digital business and make revenues from their online offerings. The CEO of Five, Darwin Airey said that the group is also looking for different ways to expand their presence into digital media and that this new PartyGaming agreement will make some of the best gaming entertainment available.
