The 2010 Omar Sharif Poker and Backgammon Tournament in London

Full Tilt Poker announced on April 26th, 2010 that will be sponsoring the 10th yearly Omar Sharif Poker and Backgammon Event. The tournament will be on May 16th, 2010 in the English capital at Sketch beginning at 5:00 p.m. The main beneficiary of the tournament is the One-to-One Children's Charity group.

The tournament will feature several famous celebrities like Duncan Bannatyne, Jennifer Tilly, Neve Campbell, Hardeep Singh Kohli and Colin Murray competing for the title and they will have bounties on their heads. The tournament will feature no-limit hold'em events with a 365 pounds buy-in cost in which one hundred will go toward the money pool with a 90 minute rebuy period.

Add-ons and re-buys will cost one hundred pounds each and fifty pounds of those will be allocated toward the money pool as well and the remaining fifty pounds will be given to charity. Side games will also be available for participants after the end of the re-buy period.

To help earn more money for the charity, there will also be an auction for interesting merchandise like a golf holiday, World Cup and Formula 1 tickets and a lot more. Tickets for those individuals who want to participate in the event costs 365 pounds which includes the event as well as food and beverage during the course of the tournament.

Those individuals that would like to attend the Omar Sharif Poker and Backgammon event but do not want to join the tournament can acquire tickets for just 100 pounds.

The tournament is expected to be a big event and a lot of celebrities and well-known are expected to participate. The 2009 tournament was won by Beverly Pace so it will be very interesting to see who will win this year's title.
